About Zukibooks
One photo of your child, and a picture book in which they are the hero. That is what Zukibooks makes. We are a small team in Switzerland, and this page tells you who we are, how a book comes to be, and what happens to the photo you trust us with.
1.Who we are
Zukibooks is made by Cambrian KlG, a small company in Urdorf, just outside Zurich. Being Swiss, with families across Europe as customers, means two sets of rules protect your data: the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the European GDPR. Our books are printed and bound in Switzerland and delivered in Switzerland today; delivery to the European Union is coming soon.

2.How a book comes to be
Every story exists long before anyone orders it: written for children from about one to eight, and illustrated by our artists page by page. When you upload a photo, our own technology draws your child into that same style, so they appear in the scenes as the hero.
It takes about four minutes, and you watch the character take shape on your screen. You choose the story, and whether your child wears the outfit from the photo or the one that belongs to the story. You see the character and the first spreads of the book before you pay anything.
3.What you get
A Zukibooks book is a premium hardcover of 15 pages, printed and bound in Switzerland. The hardcover on its own is €49.95, or CHF 49.95 in Switzerland. Hardcover + Digital is €59.95 (CHF 59.95 in Switzerland): the printed book plus a digital edition, ready within minutes of ordering, so you can read it together the same evening while the printed copy is on its way.
We deliver in Switzerland today. EU delivery is coming soon. Printed books arrive in roughly five to seven business days, depending on the delivery speed you choose at checkout. Every story is available in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
4.Your child's photo
We know what we are asking for when we ask for a photo of your child, so the rule is simple. The photo is used for one thing only: putting your child into the book as its drawn hero, on every page. It is deleted automatically once your book is fully created — and if no book is ordered, no later than 7 days after your last visit. From then on, only the illustrations remain. Your data stays on European servers.
The full detail is in our Privacy Policy. And if you ever want your order history and any artwork we still hold removed, write to info@zukibooks.com and we will delete it.
5.Talking to us

If something about a book is not right, please tell us early. Each book is made for one particular child, so a printed copy can never be resold — we would much rather put a problem right before it goes to print than after.
